Existing users downloading a major (e.g. V4 to V5) upgrade
First place your order to get your password. Then return to this page and follow the steps below carefully. Your old data will be retained although it is smart to first backup your data.

Existing users downloading a minor (e.g. V5.00.21 to V5.00.22) upgrade, or
Existing users downloading to fix a bad download or CD, or
Existing users downloading to reinstall
Do not order again. Use your existing password. Follow the steps below carefully.

Notice: Version 5.00.22 changed the data file structure slightly. Files created by this version cannot be read by versions 5.00.21 and earlier and version 5.00.22 cannot convert data back to older formats.

1. If you are upgrading from IS4 and want to keep your  toolbar customizations make note of your toolbar layout.
2. If you use Norton AntiVirus, disable the Script Blocking since this feature can corrupt data files. Leave that option off permanently (scrip blocking is not essential and can interfere with Info Select).
3. To download click here and select Open (or Run).
4. After the download finishes the install program starts.
5. Follow the install program instructions.
6. Backup your data.
7. From the Start menu choose Programs | Info Select.
8. If you can't see the toolbar buttons; can't use the toolbar options; or get a message about "missing export comctl32.dll", click here to allow for the new toolbar style; then in Info Select choose Tools | Options | View and in the Bars group enable all the checkboxes.
9. If desired, you may need to customize the toolbar and sorting bin again.
10. To uninstall an older version of Info Select see section 2-1 of the help.

2. If your password contains only letters, click  here and select Open (or Run).
3. After the download finishes the files extaction program starts.
4. Choose the temporary directory for the extracted files.
5. Enter your password when prompted.
6. Go to the temporary directory and double-click on SETUP.EXE.
7. Follow the setup program instructions.
8. From the Start menu choose Programs | Info Select.

NOTE: After ordering, a certificate will be mailed to you with your permanent password. When you receive the certificate you will download again (using the second "here" link above) and enter your permanent password.
