Technical FAQ

First check your versions
If you encounter any difficulties with Info Select for Palm Organizer first make sure you have the current releases of the Windows and Palm versions of Info Select. Check for and download the latest release of the Windows version and the Palm version here. To determine your version access Help | About on both your Palm and Windows computers.

For problems with installation
From the Windows Start menu choose Programs | Info Select for Palm Organizer | Help | Installation. If the installation starts over and over when you click on the icon, click only once - after installation is complete, you have to HotSync with your Palm to install Info Select. If you get "Unknown File Type", you don't have Palm Desktop installed - please follow the steps in Start | Programs | Info Select for Palm Organizer | Help | Installation.

Make sure you did the steps after "Follow the install program instructions" on the download page.

Important: Info Select for Palm does not currently support Memory Expansion cards so it should be installed into Palm's memory to ensure correct operation. 

Error message "Could not load condmgr.dll" appears during installation.
Install the latest version of the Palm Desktop software (available at http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/win_desktop.html )

Why doesn't Info Select for Palm run on my PC?
Info Select for Palm Organizer was only designed to run on your Palm Organizer. Info Select for Windows runs on your PC.

To restore default Address Book and Date Book conduits:
1. Open the Info Select for Palm folder in Windows Explorer.
2. Rename the ISDATCN.DLL and ISABCN.DLL files to ISDATCN.SAV and ISABCN.SAV.
3. Re-install Palm Desktop application.
4. Restart your computer.

Hard reset Palm
Try a hard reset on the palm - see your Palm user guide for instructions.
